COP23 Presidency Secretariat │ Advisor to the Chief Negotiator (Aug 17 – Apr 18)
- Working directly under the Chief Negotiator (Ambassador Nazhat Shameem Khan) to provide strategic and technical advice, and research analysis across various negotiation streams
The Ramphal Institute │ Research Associate (Jan 15 – Jan 18)
- Delivered strategic research and advice to policy makers and other stakeholders predominantly for Small Island Developing States (SIDS), the Africa Pacific and Caribbean (ACP) group of states, and Least Developed Countries on climate change, the Sustainable Development Goals, Brexit, the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) and air pollution in commonwealth cities
- Created strategy, policy briefs and communications on Climate Change in SIDS, green economy development, clean air as a fundamental human right and also on Brexit and TTIP impacts on trade and development of ACP countries
- Delivering advocacy and outreach activities for the Institute. Created and developed key content for ramphalinstitute.org and other communication strategies for the Institute, including managing social media, and developing materials and content for symposiums and events.
- Achievements: Increased viewership and digital visibility of the Institute ten-fold. Identified policy and future research gap in relation to third country impacts of Brexit and led thought leadership
